Xiaomi YU7 electric luxury SUV Pricing, Variants, and New Colors Announced with Up to 835km Range

Xiaomi EV launched its first SUV, the Xiaomi YU7 series in China last month. Now, the officially announced pricing for the Standard, Pro, and Max models. The Xiaomi YU7 measures 4,999 mm in length, 1,996 mm in width, and 1,600 mm in height, with a 3,000 mm wheelbase. Its design proportions—3:1 wheel-to-body ratio, 2.1:1 wheel-to-height ratio, and 1.25:1 width-to-height ratio—give it a sleek and sporty stance.

Key features include -

• A 3.11-square-meter aluminum hood, the largest among mass-produced vehicles, which houses a 141-liter front trunk accessible through eight different opening methods.
• Optional 275 mm wide rear tires that enhance the sporty aesthetic.
• New “waterdrop”-shaped headlights featuring hollow air channels that connect to hood vents, providing an ultra-wide 180° illumination.
• Halo taillights using ultra-red light (>632 nm) for improved nighttime visibility, designed with downward-angled corners.
• Electric flush door handles that automatically extend when the driver approaches via an “Auto-Flush” system and retract after entry to minimize wind resistance.

The aerodynamic design boasts a drag coefficient (Cd) of 0.245, achieved through 10 air channels, 19 optimized vents, hollowed spoilers, an active grille with 100 adjustable louvers, and a unibody hood. These features contribute to an improved CLTC driving range by 59 km.

Interior Design -

The YU7's interior offers a premium experience with features like a 1.7-square-meter panoramic sunroof, Nappa leather upholstery certified hypoallergenic by OEKO-TEX Class 1, and fully soft-touch surfaces throughout the cabin. The front seats are designed with a zero-gravity structure, incorporating a 12-layer build and 10-point massage system for enhanced comfort. The rear seats are electrically adjustable, with recline angles ranging from 100° to 135°.

A standout feature is the HyperVision Panoramic Display, which projects a 1.1-meter-wide image onto the windshield using triple Mini LED arrays and Panoramic Curved Projection Technology. Key specifications include:

• 1,200 nits peak brightness
• <1% reflectance and distortion
• Support for navigation, passenger entertainment, and customizable modules (instruments, media, time, weather, and maps)
• Remote control access for vehicle functions and media playback
• the YU7 is equipped with a 16.1-inch central screen and two separate displays for rear passengers, delivering a fully connected and immersive in-car experience.

Initially launched in Basalt Gray, Lava Orange, Titanium Silver, and Emerald Green, Xiaomi has now added five new color choices:

• Pearl White – Features a soft bluish pearlescent glow, offering a clean and elegant look under sunlight.
• Ocean Blue, Dusk Purple, Shadow Teal, and Dawn Pink – These colors use a blend of aluminum and pearl powders to produce a subtle metallic shimmer. Varying particle sizes and layouts enhance depth and visual richness.

Availability and Pre-orders -

The entire YU7 series is now open for pre-order in China. Xiaomi reported receiving over 289,000 pre-orders within the first hour. Customers are required to pay a ¥5,000 deposit, which is refundable if the order is not finalized within 7 days.
