Amazon Echo Show 5 3rd Gen launched in India at Rs. 10,999 with 5.5-inch Touchscreen display, Alexa built-In
Amazon has launched the third-generation Echo Show 5 smart display in India, bringing a refreshed design and enhanced features. This new model sports a compact 5.5-inch touchscreen with an infinity cover glass and rounded edges, offering better visuals, especially in low-light conditions.
The Echo Show 5 allows users to check weather updates, control compatible smart home devices via the screen, and view live feeds from supported security cameras. The built-in camera supports Amazon’s “Drop In” feature, enabling remote monitoring and video calls with contacts through Echo devices or the Alexa app. It also integrates with video doorbells and supports announcements across multiple Echo devices at home.
Audio performance has also received a boost, thanks to a 1.7-inch rear-facing speaker that delivers twice the bass and clearer vocals compared to the previous generation. This enhances playback for music, podcasts, and audiobooks via services such as Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, JioSaavn, and Audible. The device also supports multi-room music streaming when linked with other Echo speakers.
Alexa voice commands let users manage timers, reminders, calendars, and to-do lists hands-free. The device can also control various smart home appliances—including lights, fans, ACs, TVs, geysers, and cameras—with both voice and touch inputs.
Powered by the AZ2 Neural Edge processor and MediaTek MT8169 B chipset, the Echo Show 5 offers faster response times and improved voice recognition with its upgraded microphone array. Privacy is a priority, with features such as a physical camera shutter, microphone mute button, and voice recording controls accessible through the Alexa app.
