Asus Zenfone Zoom with 13MP rear camera, 3X optical zoom launched in India
Asus today launched its much awaited Zenfone Zoom smartphone in India. The main focus here is on the camera of the phone which features 3X Optical Zoom, Laser Auto-focus, Optical Image Stabilization and dual-tone LED flash. After several delays the Zenfone Zoom will finally see the light of day priced at Rs. 37999.
Rounding up the specs is a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display covered in Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for protection, running on Intel Atom Z3590 quad-core SoC with 4GB LPDDR3 RAM, Android 5.1 Lollipop based ZenUI. Specifications similar to the Asus Zenfone 2 which was launched last year.
Now not to be forgotten there's a 5MP front-camera here too just like the original Zenfone 2. The Zenfone Zoom is expected to come with a 3000 mAh battery with support for fast charging with the company's own Turbo charger which should come within the box.
The Rs. 25000 to Rs. 30000 price segment is already quite crowded with the likes of OnePlus 2, Moto X Style, Nexus 5X providing excellent value for money but the Zenfone Zoom offers a better camera, atleast on paper, than the competition.
