A 4G enabled, quad-core smartphone with 5-inch display for Rs. 2999? - Meet the Bell Smart 101
There are many brands that are trying to redefine value for money, but there's one that recently caught our eye with the Bell Smart 101.
The relatively unknown brand in India is working from their Noida office and selling smartphones through its own online portal. Coming back to the Smart 101, its the cheapest 4G LTE capable device in the market at just Rs. 2999 (about $44).
With that you are getting a 5-inch qHD (540x960 Pixels) IPS display running on a MediaTek 1.3GHz Quad-core processor (possibly MT6735) with 1GB RAM, 8GB expandable storage. There's an 8MP rear and 3.2MP front-facing camera here too. You can record 1080p videos with the rear camera.
But that's not all, this is a 4G LTE capable dual-SIM smartphone with one regular and one micro-SIM card slot. Bell has been quite generous with the battery on the Smart 101 as well, you are getting a 2800 mAh unit inside. All this is running on Android 5.1 Lollipop, which even though a bit dated, is good to see.
There's 1 year warranty in store for you as well. We have tried to reach out to the company for more details but haven't been able to as both numbers on their website are not working. We will be updating this post when we get a word.
