Gameloft announces Modern Combat 5: Blackout, Asphalt Overdrive at E3

Gameloft has some huge games coming this year, first is the customary refresh to the Asphalt series with the Asphalt Overdrive and then the next-gen mobile FPS game Modern Combat 5: Blackout. There were more games announced by the Mobile game publisher including Spider-Man Unlimited, Dungeon Gems, Ice Age Adventures among others.

Modern Combat 5 Blackout

Modern Combat 4 is still the epitome of FPS games on any mobile platform, Modern Combat 5 is coming to change all that. MC5 will have new mechanics, immersive gameplay and four soldier classes, heavy, recon, assualt and sniper, each with its own skill-set. There is also talk of unified character progression in campaign as well as multiplayer mode. Its not going to be free to play and there will be no controller support at launch.

Gameloft has further added that Modern Combat 5: Blackout will be a premium game without any in=app purchases, you only buy it once for $6.99 and that's it.

Asphalt Overdrive

This is the new game in the Asphalt series, but its not Asphalt 9. Instead you get a completely new game. Based in the 80's, Asphalt Overdrive will have you play the game vertically where you swipe left or right to control your car, yes quite like an endless runner.

You can jump into three lanes that are available, but instead of the target being the finish line you have objectives like performing stunts, escaping cops, takedowns and other stuff. Asphalt Overdrive will launch this summer on iOS, Android and Windows Phone.

Spider-Man Unlimited

Spider-Man Unlimited is a new take on Marvel games from gameloft and comes with a comics style animation. You get all of the different Spiderman avatars in their own suits like Ends of the Earth, Iron Spider, Future Foundation Spidey, Spider-Man Noir, Scarlet Spider and even the Bombastic Bagman.

Similarly the villains will also match the spidey they are fighting with. It is expected to release in September on all three mobile platforms. 

Dungeon Gems

Dungeon Gems is a puzzle game but in RPG style, with dragons, dungeons of fire and ice to escape from, it is expected to release next month.

Ice Age Adventures

Ice Age Adventures follows Sid, Manny and Diego into another hilarious ride. You can play as either Sid, Manny or Diego, voiced by actors from the movie. You can explore new World's, solve puzzles all in an effort to save the herd. At present there is not much information about the game.

Rival Knights, Cars: Fast as Lightning were also announced by Gameloft at E3 2014. We will be getting more on these later.
