HMD Amped Buds launched Globally with 1600mAh reverse wireless charging case, up to 95h total playback
Human Mobile Devices (HMD) introduced the HMD Amped Buds at its MWC 2025 event, marking the debut of the first earbuds with a 1600mAh charging case capable of powering a smartphone while playing music.
Slim, Lightweight Design & Durability -
The ultra-slim case weighs just 80g and measures 14mm thick. Each earbud is designed for comfort, featuring an adjustable hinge for a secure fit. With an IPX4-rated case and IP54-rated earbuds, they offer splash resistance for added durability.
Powerful Sound & Customization -
HMD says the Amped Buds enhance low frequencies, delivering a balanced, powerful audio experience. Users can further customize their sound via the Amped Buds app, available on Android and iOS. The earbuds come equipped with Bluetooth v5.4, 10mm drivers, and Snapdragon Sound for high-resolution, lossless audio.
Charging & Battery Life -
The case supports both magnetic and wired charging, and it can power any compatible wireless charging device. It also comes with a dual USB Type-C cable and supports reverse wireless charging.
Each earbud offers up to 8 hours of battery life on a single charge (or 4 hours with ANC on), while the 1600mAh case extends total playback to an impressive 95 hours. The case can charge an iPhone 16 by up to 20% when magnetically attached or 24% when plugged in.
Advanced Features for Calls & Connectivity -
The Amped Buds are equipped with hybrid ANC and ENC for clear calls. Each earbud stem includes a triple microphone array to isolate your voice and reduce background noise. Additional features include Google Fast Pair for Android users, multipoint connection for pairing with two devices at once, voice assistant support, and low latency for enhanced gaming and video experiences.

Pricing and Availability -
The HMD Amped Buds are priced at £169 (approximately USD 212 / Rs. 18,585) and will be available for purchase starting in April. They will be offered in three colour options: Cyan, Pink, and Black.
