HUAWEI MatePad Mini launched with 8.8-inch 2.5K 120Hz OLED screen, Call support, 50MP Camera
HUAWEI has launched its latest compact tablet, the HUAWEI MatePad Mini in China, as promised. Positioned as a phablet device, a blend of a small tablet and a large-screen phone, the MatePad Mini is just 5.1mm slim, weighs 255g, and features an 8.8-inch 2.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2.99mm narrow bezels.
On the specs front, the tablet strikes a balance between smartphone and tablet functionality. It supports the HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro, runs HarmonyOS 5.1, and incorporates a 3D heat dissipation system for efficient cooling. It also includes SIM card support and packs a 6400mAh battery with 66W fast charging.
For cameras, the MatePad Mini sports a dual rear setup with a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens with macro mode, alongside a 32MP front camera. AI-powered photo editing features are also included. While HUAWEI hasn’t officially disclosed the processor, reports suggest it is likely powered by the Kirin 9010 SoC.
