HUAWEI WATCH 5, Watch Fit 4 and Watch Fit 4 Pro launched Globally with X-TAP sensors, Built-in GPS System
HUAWEI introduced updates to its wearables lineup, unveiling two new smartwatches: the flagship HUAWEI WATCH 5 with eSIM support, and the WATCH FIT 4 Pro, designed for outdoor enthusiasts, at its Innovative Product Launch event in Berlin.
HUAWEI WATCH 5 -
While the WATCH 5 brings modest upgrades in design and hardware over its predecessor, its standout feature is the new Multi-sensing X-TAP Technology. This compact side module combines ECG, PPG, and a 10-level Tactile Sensor. A simple tap with your fingers activates detailed health monitoring capabilities.
With a press and hold on the X-TAP sensor, users can access Health Glance, delivering key metrics such as heart rate, ECG, heart rate variability (HRV), and SpO2—all in under a minute. HUAWEI has also added a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for the first time in its wearables, enabling smart gesture controls. For instance, double-tapping or sliding your thumb and index finger together can trigger actions like taking photos or silencing alarms.
HUAWEI WATCH FIT 4 Pro -
The WATCH FIT 4 Pro features a rugged square design reminiscent of the Apple Watch Ultra, with a robust 550 MPa aluminum body and a sapphire glass display. It boasts 3,000 nits peak brightness, a built-in barometer, IP6X dust resistance, and EN 13319 certification for 40-meter dive-grade water resistance.
It supports advanced outdoor activity tracking, including trail running, hiking, cycling, golf, diving, sailing, kayaking, and more. Thanks to TruSense sensors, the watch offers precise ECG and Pulse Wave Arrhythmia analysis, all while delivering up to 10 days of battery life.
HUAWEI also introduced the WATCH FIT 4, a more basic variant with similar design and specs but fewer sensors compared to the Pro version.
