Infinix Smart 20 launching in India on June 8 with 6.78-inch 120Hz display, 7.7mm sleek design, 5200mAh battery

Infinix has officially announced the launch of its upcoming budget 4G smartphone, the Infinix Smart 20 in India, which succeeds last year’s Smart 10. A dedicated Flipkart microsite confirms that the smartphone will be introduced in India on June 8, 2026, at 12:00 PM IST.

Aimed at budget-conscious buyers, the Smart 20 combines an upgraded high-refresh-rate display, improved durability, AI-powered software features, and a large battery while remaining affordable.

Design and Build

The Infinix Smart 20 adopts a modern flat-frame design with a slim 7.7mm profile and a weight of 198g. The rear panel features a premium 3D Texture Composite finish that helps reduce fingerprint marks while offering a secure and comfortable grip.

The smartphone will be available in four color options:

• Sunlike Orange
• Cloudline Blue
• Shadow Black
• Polaris Titanium

Display Features

The device sports a large 6.78-inch punch-hole IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution. One of its standout features is a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering smoother scrolling, animations, and overall user interactions.

To optimize power consumption, the display utilizes a 4-level adaptive refresh-rate system that dynamically adjusts based on the content being viewed. The panel also supports up to 700 nits High Brightness Mode (HBM), improving visibility under direct sunlight.

Performance and Storage

Powering the Smart 20 is the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultimate octa-core processor, designed to handle everyday tasks, media consumption, and casual gaming with ease.

The smartphone comes with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and supports an additional 4GB of virtual RAM through Infinix's Memory Fusion technology. Storage options include 64GB and 128GB variants, with support for microSD card expansion of up to 2TB.

Infinix also highlights a 48-Month Fluency certification, indicating long-term software optimizations intended to maintain smooth performance over several years of usage.

The device runs XOS 16 based on Android and incorporates AI-powered features through the One Tap Infinix AI platform. Integrated tools include translation assistance, voice processing capabilities, document scanning, and support from the Folax AI assistant.

Battery and Durability

The Smart 20 packs a 5,200mAh battery with support for 15W wired charging via USB Type-C. It also supports 5W reverse wired charging, allowing users to power compatible accessories and smaller devices.

For durability, the smartphone carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. Infinix says the device has also undergone drop testing and can withstand falls from heights of up to 1.5 meters.

Communication and Connectivity Features

A notable addition is Ultra Link, an offline communication feature that enables direct voice and text communication over distances of up to one kilometer without requiring a cellular network connection.

For clearer calls, the device incorporates hardware-assisted multi-mode noise cancellation and Voice Print Noise Reduction technology, helping minimize background noise during conversations.
