Meizu 22 launched with 6.3-inch 1.5K 120Hz LTPO OLED display, Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, IP66 + IP68 ratings
Meizu has launched its latest flagship smartphone, the Meizu 22 in China, as announced. It features a 6.3-inch 1.5K LTPO display with a 1–120Hz refresh rate, Always-On Display (AOD) support, and a local peak brightness of up to 6000 nits.
The screen incorporates “RuRan Eye Protection Technology,” offering hardware-level low blue light and full-range DC dimming for comprehensive eye protection. It also sports ultra-thin 1.2mm bezels with equal width on all sides, which the company says sets a new benchmark for its flagship design.
Under the hood, the Meizu 22 runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC and is equipped with a 4500mm² VC liquid cooling system. For optics, it carries a 50MP wide-angle OV50H 1/1.3-inch sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens with 2.5cm macro capability, a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera with IMX882 sensor, OIS, and 15cm telephoto macro support, along with a 50MP front-facing camera for selfies.
The Meizu 22 runs on Flyme AIOS 2, which brings features like the new Small Window Mode 5.0, Game Assistant, Call Assistant, and Smart Travel. It also integrates AI-powered tools such as AI Drawing, AI Filters, one-click pedestrian removal, glare reduction, and moiré elimination. The system includes Flyme Auto 2 for in-car connectivity and Flyme Link for seamless hands-on and car-to-car interaction.
On the hardware side, the phone is equipped with an mEngine Super Sense X-axis linear motor, hidden infrared smart control, and a UWB digital key. It carries IP66 and IP68 certifications for dust and water resistance. For better connectivity, it adopts a borderless super antenna design, wraparound antenna layout, mSmart SNS technology, and 4×4 MIMO quad-antenna support to deliver stronger signal performance.
Powering the device is a 5500mAh battery with 80W wired and 66W wireless fast charging. Alongside the standard edition, Meizu also offers a “Return to China Flagship Limited Edition,” which comes with a custom UI, unique back cover design, fleet-inspired accessories, and a metal commemorative plaque.
