Meizu MX5 gets Flyme OS 5.1.3 update in India
Meizu has started rolling out Flyme OS 5.1.3 update for the MX5 in India. The update weighs in at about 800 MB and there are a lot of nifty additions.
You now have floating notifications, card-list multitasking, dual-window or multi-screen mode alongwith some India specific boot themes and ringtones. There's a Taj Mahal boot animation in store as well. In all there are 300 features and more than 1000 enhancements in store for you with the new update. There's optimized battery life and general performance enhancements too.
You can download the Update zip file from here. Just copy it to the phone storage and follow the steps below.
Update: The post has been updated with new information about the MX5 FlymeOS update. You would have to install it manually. The steps are easy, just follow them from below:
- Save the Zip File to the root of the phone storage.
- Power off your phone
- Press the volume up + power key together, till you see the Meizu logo
- Then press the Volume up key twice to enter Recovery, select update and reboot once done.
