Nothing Phone 3 Made in India teaser.

London-based consumer tech company Nothing has confirmed that its upcoming smartphone, the Nothing Phone (3), will be manufactured in India to serve the local market better.

    Local Manufacturing and Employment -

Continuing its commitment to domestic production, the Phone (3) will follow in the footsteps of the Phone (1), Phone (2), and CMF series, which were all assembled at Nothing’s facility near Chennai. This plant currently employs over 500 people, with women making up 95% of the workforce.

Nothing says that producing key devices locally will help boost efficiency, shorten lead times, and allow the company to respond more quickly to market needs.

Strengthening After-Sales Service and Expanding Retail Reach -

The company is also focused on expanding its after-sales support network across India. At present, it operates five exclusive service centers in major cities including Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai. Alongside these, there are 20 priority service desks, with plans to add 10 more soon. The broader support network includes more than 330 authorized service centers, with that number continuing to grow. These efforts are aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction through faster and more accessible service.

On the retail front, Nothing has significantly increased its presence, growing from 2,000 stores at the start of last year to 10,000 stores today. This rapid expansion reflects the brand’s intention to strengthen its position in India’s competitive smartphone market.

Global Design, Made in India -

The Nothing Phone (3) carries the tagline “Designed in London and manufactured in India,” underscoring the brand’s commitment to blending global design expertise with local production capabilities.

This move is seen as another significant milestone in Nothing’s expansion in India, aligning with the company’s broader vision to strengthen its footprint in one of the world’s most dynamic smartphone markets.

Akis Evangelidis, Co-Founder and India President of Nothing, shared:

"India has been a key market for us from day one. Every smartphone we’ve launched has been built here, and the Phone (3) continues that tradition. As we scale our presence, we’re deepening our investment in Indian manufacturing, talent, and innovation, fully embracing the Make in India initiative. Phone (3) represents a major step forward — our first true flagship, offering the very best of Nothing. We’re excited for our Indian users to experience it."
