OPPO Find X9 Series to be Launched on October 16 with Dimensity 9500 and Advanced Eye-Protect Display
OPPO has officially confirmed that the OPPO Find X9 series, which includes the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro, will be launched at an event in China on October 16th, after a series of teasers. These will be among the first smartphones to be powered by the newly introduced Dimensity 9500 flagship chip.
The Find X9 series will also debut as the first set of devices to run ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, with OPPO scheduling the ColorOS 16 launch for October 15th, just a day ahead of the smartphone unveiling.
The OPPO Find X9 will further stand out as the first device to feature the new Tianma display. This screen is designed around the concept of “super eye protection” and incorporates full-brightness flicker-free dimming along with high-frequency PWM dimming that surpasses industry standards. It significantly reduces harmful blue light levels to 4.7% at the material source, helping to minimize eye strain even during extended late-night use. The display also supports a true 1nit low-brightness solution, offering soft, glare-free light for comfortable viewing.
Zhou Yibao, Head of the OPPO Find series, explained that OPPO has independently developed a dual-production line model, giving the company full control over design, production, packaging, and debugging of its Bright Eye Protection Screen.
This innovation introduces:
- Low-brightness, high-precision circuits
- A new eye protection substrate
- The Display P3 display chip
Together, these advancements deliver enhanced visual comfort and superior display quality on the Find X9 series.
- True 1nit brightness in all scenarios, supported by any app
- Display uniformity surpassing Apple iPhone
- Android’s strongest automatic brightness adjustment
- High-frequency PWM dimming for eye comfort
- AI-powered active eye protection
- 3600nit peak brightness in large window mode, optimized for both bright and dark scenes through a human color model
Zhou also highlighted OPPO’s long-standing partnership with MediaTek, noting that the newly launched Dimensity 9500 flagship chip, enhanced by the Tidal Engine, ensures even greater performance. He confirmed that the Find X9 will be equipped with a 7025mAh battery, while the Find X9 Pro will include a larger 7500mAh battery.
On the imaging front, the OPPO Find X9 Pro will feature the LYT-828 sensor and will be the first in the industry to support hardware-level dynamic triple exposure. It will also introduce a powerful 200MP ultra-clear telephoto lens, designed to restore details with exceptional accuracy. The entire Find X9 series will support Hasselblad 8K Ultra HD Photo, allowing direct 8K output at all focal lengths, and will also integrate the OPPO LUMO super-pixel engine for enhanced image processing.
In partnership with Hasselblad, OPPO has developed a custom imaging kit exclusively for the Pro model, while also creating specialized imaging accessories for the standard Find X9 edition.
