Realme GT8 Pro and GT8 launched with 6.79-inch 2K 144Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, up to 200MP telephoto camera

Realme has launched its latest samrtphone, the Realme GT8 and GT8 Pro in China, as previously announced. Both models feature a 6.79-inch 2K 144Hz Sky Dome OLED flat display with a 3200Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate and 360Hz four-finger sampling rate.

The screen uses Q10 + BOE custom luminous materials, delivering up to 7000 nits peak brightness, 2000 nits global brightness, 1000 nits manual brightness, and a 4000-nit Sunlight Display that doubles brightness in bright outdoor conditions.

This ensures clearer visuals and more realistic colors under any lighting environment. The displays also support full-brightness hardware-level DC dimming, 1-nit ultra-dark mode, and True Color eye protection with an eye-friendly yellowish tone for reduced strain.

Performance -

The GT8 series is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. The phones feature a massive 7000mm² Ultra-Coverage Cold Front Cooling VC, the largest vapor chamber in realme’s history, with 30% more surface area than the previous generation—ensuring precise heat control across major components.

An integrated R1 graphics chip enables super-frame and super-resolution support for over 100 games, offering sharper visuals and improved energy efficiency. The GT Performance Engine enhances dynamic scheduling and supports native 2K+120FPS for open-world games and native 144Hz high-frame gameplay for several popular shooting titles.

For audio and haptics, the phones include dual 1115E symmetrical speakers with N’Bass enhancement, a full-cavity design, and an immersive surround sound field. They also feature an 0816 AAC top-tier ultra-wideband pulse motor with third-generation ESA ultra-wideband vibration technology, delivering stronger, more responsive 4D vibrations for gaming.

Design -

The realme GT8 Pro introduces a “mechanical assembly design” concept—the industry’s first detachable, assembleable, and replaceable Deco, allowing users to enjoy hands-on customization similar to assembling mechanical parts.

realme has partnered with Ricoh Imaging Company to co-develop the GT8 Pro’s camera system, making it the first smartphone to feature optics inspired by Ricoh’s iconic GR series.
