REDMI 15 5G launched in India starting at Rs. 14,999 with 6.9-inch FHD+ 144Hz display, Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC, 7000mAh battery
Xiaomi's Redmi brand has launched its latest smartphone in the number series, the REDMI 15 5G in India, as promised. It features a 6.9-inch FHD+ 144Hz LCD screen with a centre punch-hole design, which the company claims is the largest in its segment. The display is TÜV Rheinland certified for Low Blue Light (Software Solution), Circadian Friendly, and Flicker Free standards.
It runs on the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and an additional 8GB of virtual RAM. It sports a 50MP primary rear camera with a secondary sensor, and an 8MP front camera. Running Android 15 with HyperOS 2 on top, the REDMI 15 5G is promised two major Android updates and four years of security updates.
The smartphone packs a 7000mAh battery, the largest in its category with silicon-carbon technology. Xiaomi notes that the battery is designed for up to 1600 charge cycles while retaining 80% capacity even after four years. It supports 33W fast charging along with 18W reverse wired charging. The device also incorporates aerospace-grade metal island construction, which the company says is unique in its segment.
