REDMI K90 launched with 6.59-inch 2K 120Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, 7100mAh battery
Xiaomi has launched its latest smartphone in the K90 series, the REDMI K90 at an event in China, as promised. The phone boasts a 6.59-inch 2K AMOLED flat display with a peak brightness of up to 3500 nits, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support, full-brightness DC dimming, 2560Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate, and 12-bit color depth offering 68.7 billion colors.
Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of internal storage. Its gas-liquid separation cooling design ensures efficient heat dissipation, complemented by a 5300mm² LHP large vapor chamber and a three-step thermal structure that effectively lowers core temperatures.
For audio, the REDMI K90 features 1115F ultra-linear symmetrical dual speakers tuned by BOSE. The rear camera setup includes a 50MP Light Fusion 800 sensor (1/1.55″) with OIS, Xiaomi AISP 2.0, 13.2EV cinematic dynamic range, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP 2.5x periscope telephoto lens that also supports 10cm macro shots. The device comes with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
In terms of design, the REDMI K90 sports a glass back and metal frame, featuring a new aesthetic that balances one-handed usability with an immersive large-screen experience. The integrated cold-sculpting process creates a seamless, unified body structure.
Powering the phone is a 7100mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 100W fast charging and 100W PPS charging. The device is equipped with the Xiaomi Surge P3 smart charging chip and G1 battery management chip, both of which enhance charging efficiency and battery performance.
