ROG Phone 9 series to be launched on November 19 with New Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC
ASUS confirmed earlier today at the Snapdragon Summit 2024 that the upcoming ROG Phone 9 series, the successor to last year’s ROG Phone 8 lineup, will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship SoC. Shortly after, the company announced that the official launch is set for November 19th.
During the event, ASUS hinted at the slogan 'AI on, game on,' emphasizing that AI will play a key role in enhancing the gaming experience. Previous rumours suggest the phone will offer up to 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. It is also expected to support 65W wired charging, similar to its predecessor, and maintain its IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
Additionally, ASUS teased several new features, including AI-enhanced photography, an updated AniMe version with Mini-LEDs on the back, a retro-inspired gaming experience with triggers, and more.
