Samsung Galaxy A17 5G launched in India starting at Rs.18,999 with 6.7-inch FHD+ 90Hz Super AMOLED Screen, Exynos 1330 SoC, One UI 7
Samsung has launched its latest smartphone in the A series, the Galaxy A17 5G in India, succeeding last year’s Galaxy A16 5G. The new model continues to feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a notch, but in India, it is powered by the Exynos 1330 chipset, replacing the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 used in other markets.
For cameras, it carries over the 50MP primary sensor, 5MP ultra-wide lens, and 2MP macro shooter, along with a 13MP front camera. The device runs Android 15 with One UI 7 and promises 6 generations of OS upgrades and 6 years of security updates. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, while the back panel is made of Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer for durability.
The Galaxy A17 5G is equipped with a 5000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging (charger sold separately). Compared to its predecessor, the device is now slimmer, lighter, and sports a redesigned camera layout, marking the most notable upgrades over the A16 5G.
