Vivo S30 Pro mini to be launched this May with 6.31-inch 1.5K OLED display, 6500mAh battery along with Vivo S30
Vivo is gearing up to launch its new S30 series smartphones later this month, including the Vivo S30 Pro mini and Vivo S30, which will succeed last year’s S20 lineup. Ouyang Weifeng, Vivo China’s Product VP, has shared key details about the upcoming models.
Notably, the series will introduce a new S30 Pro Mini variant with a 6.31-inch flat display and a massive 6,500mAh battery. This model will replace the standard Pro version.
Ouyang also shared an image of the phone in a blue finish placed next to the iPhone 16 Pro, highlighting a similar thickness and confirming a metal frame design. The standard vivo S30 will come with a larger 6.67-inch flat screen and will continue the brand's tradition of ultra-thin, elegant designs.
According to leaker Digital Chat Station, the S30 Pro Mini will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400e chipset, while the vivo S30 will run on Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 (SM7750) SoC, replacing the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 found in previous S-series models like the S18, S19, and S20.
Both models are expected to feature the same 6,500mAh battery and include a 50MP IMX882 periscope telephoto camera. More information is expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
