Vivo X300 and X300 Pro will feature vivo Zeiss 2.35x telephoto teleconverter kit
Vivo has announced that both the X300 and X300 Pro models are compatible with the Vivo Zeiss 2.35x teleconverter. Previously seen on the X200 Ultra, this accessory is positioned as a major upgrade for capturing distant subjects with sharp detail. Offered in a silver finish, the teleconverter not only enhances photography but also complements the phone’s design as a stylish add-on.
Teleconverter and Shooting Modes -
Built for versatility, the teleconverter supports multiple shooting modes beyond telephoto, including landscapes, candid shots, portraits, and professional scenarios. This makes it a flexible tool for varied photography needs. The X300 series also features a 200MP telephoto lens, further strengthening its long-range shooting capabilities.
vivo’s product manager, Han Boxiao, recently showcased sample shots at 200mm, 400mm, and 800mm taken with the teleconverter.
Image Stabilization: A Key Advantage -
One of the biggest challenges in telephoto photography is stabilization, since any movement becomes amplified when using a teleconverter. The Vivo X300 Pro achieves a CIPA 5.5 stabilization rating, while the standard model is rated at 4.5—both touted as industry-leading figures. These help reduce motion blur, even with the teleconverter attached. Unlike some periscope cameras that lose much of their stabilization when paired with external mounts, the X300 series teleconverter is engineered specifically to preserve steady performance.
Teleconverter Versatility -
Support for the Zeiss 2.35x teleconverter isn’t limited to the Pro model—it extends to the standard X300 as well, ensuring compatibility across the lineup. The accessory comes in two finishes, designed to pair with either light or dark variants of the phones. In addition, teleconverter mode now covers snapshot and portrait photography, expanding its use beyond conventional telephoto and stage shooting.
Advancing Vivo’s Telephoto Technology -
Vivo’s telephoto journey began with the X100 Ultra, which introduced a 200MP ZEISS APO super telephoto lens. This was refined in the X200 Pro with the integration of the ZEISS teleconverter set. Now, the X300 series elevates the experience further, offering teleconverter support for the entire range along with an upgraded 200MP ZEISS telephoto lens and more advanced stabilization. These improvements are tailored for demanding scenarios like concert and stage photography, where clarity and steadiness are essential.
More details are expected in the weeks leading up to the official launch on October 13.
