WhatsApp adds push to talk voice messaging, turns your phone into a walkie talkie
WhatsApp just updated its app to include push-to-talk voice messages, effectively converting your smartphone into a walkie talkie. With the success of WeChat following a similar way of Voice Messaging, WhatsApp was sure to answer.
The feature is now available on all platforms, including Android, iOS, BlackBerry and Windows Phone. At present it seems that there is no limit on the length of voice recording that you can send. It is enough to keep WhatsApp relevant in the market where new entrants like WeChat, Line and Hike are making serious inroads? Only time will tell.
