Google Pixel 10 Series could Feature Gimbal-Level Stabilization and Telephoto Upgrades
Google is preparing to unveil its upcoming Pixel 10 series, with a major highlight being a significant camera upgrade. According to Android Headlines, the upcoming models will incorporate a next-generation stabilization system designed to deliver gimbal-level performance—comparable to devices like the DJI Osmo Mobile 6, without the need for any external hardware.
Enhanced Stabilization Across the Entire Lineup -
The advanced stabilization technology will reportedly be included across all Pixel 10 variants: the base Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pro XL, and the foldable Pro Fold. While previous Pixel models already offered solid video stabilization, the Pixel 10 series aims to take things further by integrating this high-performance system directly into the camera hardware.
Although the Pixel 10 is expected to retain most of the same sensors found in the Pixel 9, a notable change is the addition of a telephoto lens to the standard model—something that was previously reserved for higher-end versions.
Coupled with software features like Google’s Video Boost, the new stabilization system is expected to deliver a substantial improvement in video recording quality.
Expected Launch Timeline -
Google is expected to officially debut the Pixel 10 series during its “Made by Google” event on August 20. Pre-orders will likely open the same day, with shipping anticipated to begin on August 28. While Google hasn’t confirmed these dates, an official announcement is expected in the coming weeks.
