Realme GT8 Pro launched in India starting at Rs. 72,999 with 6.79-inch 2K 144Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, 200MP telephoto camera

Realme has launched its latest flagship smartphone, the Realme GT8 Pro in India, as announced. It features a 6.79-inch 2K 144Hz HyperGlow Display with a peak brightness of 7000 nits, a 3200Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate, and a 360Hz four-finger sampling rate.

Powering the phone is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. It includes a large 7000mm² VC cooling system—the biggest ever in a realme device. The company also highlights its in-house AI Gaming Super Frame technology, enabling unlimited full-frame performance in high-load games, maintaining 144Hz in MLBB and 120Hz in BGMI even at ambient temperatures of 35°C.

Running realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16, the GT8 Pro provides a customizable interface with a Light Glass Design, Ice Cube Icons, and a Misty Glass Control Center. realme promises four years of OS updates and five years of security patches.

Audio and haptics get a boost with Symmetric Master Acoustic Speakers and an Ultra Haptic Motor. The phone also debuts the world’s first Switchable Camera Bump system, allowing users to detach and swap camera island designs—round, square, or robot-themed—for a modular, tactile customization experience.

In collaboration with Ricoh Imaging Company, the GT8 Pro becomes the first device co-engineered with features inspired by the Ricoh GR series. It is also the first realme device to feature a 200MP 3x telephoto lens with a 1/1.56″ sensor, offering sharp and vivid images even at 12X lossless zoom. The camera setup also includes a 50MP 1/1.56″ main sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide lens with a 116° field of view. Video recording options include 4K 120fps Dolby Vision, 8K 30fps, and 4K 120fps 10-bit Log.

The phone is backed by a 7000mAh second-generation Titan battery with 120W fast charging, delivering a full charge in under 45 minutes, along with 50W wireless flash charging that powers up the device to 50% in just 15 minutes.

Realme GT 8 Pro Dream Edition -

Realme has also introduced the GT 8 Pro Dream Edition, developed in collaboration with the Aston Martin Aramco F1® Team. It features the iconic Aston Martin Racing Green with Lime Essence accents, a central silver Aston Martin emblem, and an exclusive F1-themed interface.

From the AMR25 dynamic wallpaper to the track-inspired GT Mode sound, the design aims to capture the thrill and elegance of motorsport, according to the company.
