Sony unveils Xperia Z1 Compact with 4.3-inch HD display, 20.7 MP camera
Sony had one more ace up its sleeve with the brand new Xperia Z1 compact which is a Xperia Z1 in a smaller shell with a smaller display but the rest of the specifications remaining same. The Xperia Z1 Compact is actually the Z1f which was launched in Japan earlier and it leaked earlier as the Xperia Z1 Mini or the Xperia Z1s. But we now know that the Xperia Z1s is just a Z1 for T-Mobile.
The Xperia Z1 compact features a 4.3-inch 1080p display, quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 2 GB RAM running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Its made of a single slab of aluminium with tempered glass on the front and back. The Z1 compact features the same 20.7-megapixel camera as its larger sibling with 1080p video recording, BIONZ image processor and the likes. There's a 2.2 MP front-facing camera as well. It won't be a Sony phone without being dust and waterproof, therefore the Xperia Z1 compact also gets IP55 / IP58 certifications.
