XOLO has just launched a new Windows 8 tablet here at CES 2014 in Las Vegas. Xolo Win features a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and is powered by 1GHz AMD A4 Elite mobility processor with Radeon HD 8180 GPU and 2 GB RAM. There's 32 GB internal storage but at present there is no word on expandable storage. You have a 2-megapixels primary camera and a 1-megapixel front-facing camera. The Xolo Win runs Windows 8 and gives 7 hours of battery life on a charge.
Vishal Sehgal, Co-founder and Director of Lava International had this to say:
Providing superior product experience is at the core of Xolo's proposition to its target customers, hence joining hands with a technology leader like AMD makes perfect sense. With AMD's unique Accelerated Processing Unit (APU), featuring both a CPU & GPU on a single piece of silicon, we look forward to this strategic partnership to provide the best performance and graphics on mobile devices.
AMD India Managing Director, Ravi Swaminathan also chimed in saying:
Xolo Win expands the usage of tablets with its great battery life, solid performance and superior graphics at a price point that redefines the tablet space. We are delighted to be associated with Lava International Limited, as we usher in a new era of mobility.
Xolo is one of the few mobile phone manufacturers that is trying to think out of the box, especially with its partnership with NVIDIA, Broadcom and now AMD. The future certainly seems bright for the company. We recently did an unboxing of the XOLO Q1000 Opus and came out rather impressed, you can have a look at it in the embedded video.
